Detecting Landslides Before They Happen
Brett Steck, Esther Jeninga and Dean Wink's Research at UWW
Brett Steck, Esther Jeninga and Dean Wink are at the different stages of their undergraduate study at University of Wisconsin Whitewater.
While they are not even in the same major, they do UG Research together, in an interdisciplinary lab to study and monitor Landslides.
They build physical models and test using sandbox experiments to mimic the bluffs of Lake Michigan.
The Research experience has given Brett the tools to pursue Seismic studies in Grad School. It has expanded opportunities for Esther and given her a competitive edge as an Art Major, and Dean the focus and roadmap for his UG study.
On our Podcast, Brett, Esther and Dean talk about their Undergraduate Research experiences, their work on Landslide project, and how it is making a difference to them.
